Station I
The first hours
-
Station I ✦ Day of the tattoo
The first hours
- Keep the wrap on for three hours, or as long as we told you.
- Wash it with clean hands, lukewarm water and unscented soap. Pat dry with a paper towel.
-
Station II ✦ Days 1 to 3
The weeping
- Wash twice a day. Air dry, then a thin layer of unscented cream.
- Warmth and slight swelling are normal. So is a little ink on the sheets.
-
Station III ✦ Days 4 to 14
The shedding
- It flakes and itches. Do not pick or scratch. Picking pulls ink out.
- No soaking: no baths, pools, sea or sauna until the flaking stops. Short showers are fine.
- Stay out of direct sun, and wear loose clothes over it.
-
Station IV ✦ After that, for life
The keeping
- The ink keeps settling for two to four weeks. It can look cloudy for a while.
- Sunscreen, SPF 50, every time it sees the sun, for life.
The Commandments

- Wash with clean hands
- Pat dry, never rub
- Keep the cream thin
- Wear SPF 50, for life
Thou shalt not
- Pick or scratch
